Can one person make a difference?

Amélie is a young girl who lives on the coast of France, in the city of Saint-Jean-de-Luz. After losing her mother at 16 in a terrible accident, Amélie now lives alone with her father. On Amélie’s eighteenth birthday, her father decides to pass on her mother’s old sailboat as a birthday present. Amélie takes the sailboat out to sea and makes a tragic discovery in the ocean. She becomes more conscious of the pollution and deterioration of ocean life. Amélie is shaken by this experience and decides to make a change. In her pursuit to help save the environment, Amélie must confront her relationship with not only her friends, but also with her family and with herself. Luckily, she is not alone. Along her way, Amélie meets new friends who are just as passionate as she is about ocean life and protecting the  environment. As she reconciles old relationships, Amélie also comes to terms with the loss of her mother.
